Writing about Criticism…

There has been something on my mind for about 2 weeks now. It concerns criticism by someone close and it really hit hard. I’ve been trying to deal with it in my mind all this time, but it hasn’t been working.

Today I thought – Stop it! Do what you say to do: Write!

I decided to write about Criticism this week both as a way for me to deal with my issues and to explore the different facets of criticism, as they affect us coming from others and as they get filtered through our scripts into our personal beliefs about ourselves.

For today, I keep it simple. Here is a quote by Dale Carnegie.

“Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.”

If you are dealing with issues related to criticism, hope the quote helps. More to come this week.
