Simply building relationships for a better tomorrow…

I read this facebook quote from a dear friend, Donna Saker, Radio Announcer at The Beat of Montreal 92.5FM. Not only is she pretty and smart, she is also very wise. I love her!

“Before I go to bed I will leave you with this thought… Make one person happy each day and in forty years you will have made 14,600 human beings happy for a little time at least……..isn’t that amazing : )”

I saw her two days ago at the station and her wonderful hug made me realize the importance of relationships in our lives. A simple smile, a “hello, how are you?”, opening the door for someone, introducing yourself to a friend of a friend… all these actions are the first baby steps into building relationships… relationships that may very well develop into so much more later in life.

Is this a small resolution you can make for 2012, as an action to consistently introduce in your daily routine? If a handful of the smiles you give out during the next 365 days, end up flourishing into conversations and friendships, imagine the inner wealth and happiness you can build in a year!
