New Year’s Resolutions – Will it be different this year?

Here is a very interesting piece of statistics: Apparently, of all the people who succeed in the achievement of their top New Year’s Resolution, 40% did so on the first attempt. The rest continued trying, with 17% finally celebrating success after more than six attempts.

What does this mean?

Well, if it doesn’t work the first time, there is no reason to quit!

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” – Oprah

There is no need to wait for the following year to set the same New Year’s Resolution yet again either. Setbacks do happen and that’s okay. Failure is just an opportunity to learn and to adapt.

For whatever Goals we set ourselves, at New Year’s or any other time of year, we can always get back up on our feet and try again. Know that success will come with the acceptance that some things just need to be done differently.

Are there past Resolutions you would like to revisit? Were you discouraged by results back then, but ready to tackle the challenges today? See how this decision may make a difference in your life today and how important it may be for you to give it serious thought.

Take out your Journal and write about what you think happened. What are the setbacks you could learn from? How would you take on the challenge
