I Love ME; My life is my trophy.

My life is my trophy and I accept it.

Have you ever thought of the fact that it is very uncommon for someone to dislike a trophy they have been awarded. When we receive a trophy, it isn’t the trophy itself that we look at, but the achievement it represents.

My life is my trophy. It may have its ups and downs, its blacks and whites and lots of grays, things to be proud of and some things not so much… it is filled with experiences that have lead me here today. My life, my achievement and the acceptance of my journey are source of immense happiness for me. I show my trophy to the world with pride!

“Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves – regret for the past and fear of the future.”
- Charles Fulton Oursler (1893-1952) American journalist, playwright, editor and writer.

Acceptance starts with what has been. The past.
My past is full of events, emotions, thoughts and actions. Every one of these have contributed in one way or another to make me who I am today.  There cannot be any regrets, blame, sadness, frustration or anger. The past is a valuable part of what I have become. I love myself the way I am today and I could not have done it without all the experiences I lived through. I accept my past as an integral part of who I am.

Acceptance continues with what will be. The future.
The future is the unknown therefore source of discomfort for many of us. I don’t know what lies ahead, I am not sure if my decision will be right for the direction I need to take. I am nervous about my next steps. But accepting that today’s future will soon be my past, I also accept that what will be will be and that all experiences will be lessons to learn from, challenges to strengthen me and opportunities to grow. I trust myself in my decisions, therefore I can put my fears to rest and accept the future to come.

Acceptance of my present as a gift
Every moment that I live gives me the opportunity to do something. Each step of my journey is a gift to me, allowing me to choose my next move. It is my responsibility to take my present and make the very best of it, because soon this present will become my past. I accept my present along with the good and the bad times, the smiles and the tears. My present is what will make me who I will be tomorrow.

Accepting my past, present and future, allowing myself to take advantage of every moment of my journey is a sign of self-love. I love who I am, I accept where I came from and I am excited about where my present will lead me. That is what TheNewHappyMe is all about!
