I am looking for Happiness; is there a leak in my bucket?

In looking for Happiness, we first looked at what is missing in our life. Writing about this may have allowed you to identify a few items that would definitely make you smile. Adding these elements in your life would be a goal for an improved level of happiness. I think we can all agree on that.

Let’s now look at what elements you may need to remove from your life to make it a happier one.

On May 7-2011, my post was about my bucket. I discovered it has leaks. (If I may say so myself, the article is actually quite good and many readers discovered their own reality through it. Check it out if you have not read it already, get a refresher if you have! Just search for ‘bucket’ on the top right Search field.)

Basically, whatever motivates me FILLS my bucket. If I do the things I love to do, my bucket remains full. I have incredible energy to do all the things I want or need to do. This is a happy bucket.

The things that are problem spots in my life are holes, therefore leaks in my bucket. They DRAIN all the good content that would otherwise give me energy and a happy, healthy existence. These leaks lower my level of happiness.

Do you understand where I am going with this?

We need to eliminate the leaks to keep as much of that happy energy in our bucket! It’s as simple as that!

Now don’t take out your chewing gum to clog the holes!! Band-aid solutions don’t work. If the hole is still there, it is bound to re-open. The idea is to go beyond patching… The goal is to ELIMINATE!

So what are your leaks? What is draining your good energy? What is reducing your level of happiness? What are the items in your life that you need to eliminate? Don’t hesitate to take out your Journal and write what comes to mind. Type if you prefer.  Don’t think about what you are writing, just let your mind tell you what leaks need to be deleted from your life! Hope the visual works!!
