How Little Things Make a Huge Difference

I’ve been busy with work these days… It’s the Holiday season, the season of giving and the season for children.

I work for Starlight Children’s Foundation, so my work touches both aspects of the Holiday spirit. Fundraising campaigns are a way for people to give back in this special time of year, while it is important to bring joy to children at a time when they need it most.

Through our biggest fundraising campaign of the year, the 12 Days of Starlight, we have been able to bring together the entire community to think about our special kids who fight for their health daily and face obstacles due to illness, to appreciate their own health and the well-being of their children, as well as to give back and help those in need by helping Starlight bring a smile to the face of sick children, to their siblings and to their families during the Holidays and throughout the year.  We have reached our goal two days before the end of the 12 day campaign! With small donations from a multitude of donors, we have done it again! Thank you for all the support and encouragement!

As for the magic of the Holidays that brings a smile to the children… we had our party on Saturday and invited over 300 guests to join us for some fun at the movies. With games and crafts and of course a visit from Santa, the children were glowing! What may be a trivial outing to us, is actually a tremendous event for some of these families who struggle daily. The little things do indeed make a huge difference!

Let’s think of how we ourselves can take small steps to make a difference in our own life and for someone special. The satisfaction and heart-warming feeling is like none other. It truly contributes to finding the New Happy You!

  1. Wonderful job here. I genuinely enjoyed what you had to say. Keep going because you absolutely bring a new voice to this subject. Not many people would say what youve said and still make it interesting. Nicely, at least Im interested. Cant wait to see much more of this from you.
