Taking time to Breathe…

Today is Halloween! A very “peculiar” celebration in some parts of the world, featuring the dead and the scary… Where it comes from? I haven’t researched that. I am sure there were celebrations of the dead way back when, thousands of years ago… Halloween may be a modern version of that. How candy got mixed [...]

Eliminating the negatives on our Path to Happiness

I’ve been reading some articles about Happiness. They talk of our awareness of the importance of Happiness in more recent years. Our society, including governments, has become more involved in learning about the values that improve the well-being of humans in general.
Most experts agree, money doesn’t bring Happiness. When the basic needs of an individual and of his/her family are [...]

Energy Drainer – Another type of clutter… the one in your head.

I got a few comments about Clutter following yesterday’s article. I guess I am not the only one with the Clutter problem!! LOL
Things happen in a funny way sometimes too. I had a coaching call today and through the conversations we had in our little group of 4, I got thinking about another type of [...]

Energy Drainer – Clutter

“CHAOS: An acronymn for ‘Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome’ – compliments of WordSpy Website.
Many of my readers will be laughing at this one!! I know I am.

Do you seriously think I can have anyone over??

Energy Drainer – I’ll do that later… Procrastination.

I experimented with this Energy Drainer today.
I can count on one hand the number of time I have put off writing my daily post in the last 365 days.  The delays have also always been for a good reason… I am very serious and committed to my posts after all!
Today, I delayed writing on purpose, with a special idea [...]

For several years, after supper, I would sit down in front of the TV with my husband, to catch up on information from around the world. He would also watch the news at noon whenever possible and [...]

Energy Drainer – Employment you’re not happy with.

This topic may not have been my first choice to start the theme this week, but I fell on an interesting article that got me thinking. Written on Oct 19, 2011 http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2011/10/happiness It is an article by The Economist, an unlikely site to find Happiness as a topic perhaps…
“Are economists really better at predicting interest [...]

A quick peak at Energy Drainers

I recently wrote about the benefits of maintaining or increasing your energy levels, as opposed to letting them drain. Using the bucket imagery works best for me and it may help you too. (For more on this, type bucket in the search field!)
For a good eye opening exercise, I highly suggest taking out your Journal [...]

More on the bucket. Keeping and adding to your energy levels.

What a simple concept -
There are 3 things that can happen to your energy levels:
They go up, they go down or they stay the same.
Good: Maintaining the energy levels constant.
Even better: Increasing the energy levels, refueling, filling the bucket.
Not so good: Decreasing levels of energy, draining the energy, emptying the bucket.
So which do you want [...]

Stressed out? Take out your Journal…

With daily routines that barely include time to breathe, news about a crashing economy, worries about our children, their health, their future, concerns about our own well-being, is it surprising that burn-out rates have reached epidemic proportions in North-America? Society, both individuals and organizations, are fueling the problem constantly. There is need for change.
Bill Clinton – “Sometimes when people [...]
